Growing up is fun to do!

What an exciting day for our young man!!! He received his first pay check! He is now a rich young man coming into manhood! Our first stop before coming home was the bank. He opened his first savings account just so he could cash his check. The whole time he was filling out the paper work he had a grin the size of Texas, looking and feeling quite proud of himself!

Sitting as a parent on the side lines was just as proud! I had been talking to the gentleman over him at work, and he says he works hard and has a great attitude. I hope I had a goofy grin the size of Texas on my face as well, he sure makes his pappy and I proud.

Funny thing, as we were walking out to the car I told him he was becoming quite the young man too fast for me. He replied: "I have been becoming a young man for a while now." like I might be oblivious. Only today it wasn't a baby step, it was the step of a proud young man.

Piano Music

I was listening to the Piano Guys on Youtube and was flood of warm memories from the past.

Back in the day when attending Ricks College (now BYU-I) I lived with an amazingly talented family! They sang, danced, played instruments, and sports. Each Saturday I would wake up to the song above being played by my roommate. I loved it, I still do. Waterfall would be her warm up song, followed by many other pieces I enjoyed.

Going back several more years I remember trying to be as early as was permissible to mutual. If I was early enough I would here one of the young men and a leader "tinking" around on the piano. They would compose their own music, and through watching them you could tell that they not only enjoyed what they were doing but loved it too!

Growing up I always wanted to learn to play the piano. Since it wasn't something I could do for one reason or another I have always enjoyed benefiting from the talents of others. Truly piano music lifts my soul. It brings peace when I am troubled.

When I Laughed out Loud...

A quote from my little man:

When asked by grandma if he was going to be a comedian when he grew up he replied quite matter of factually: "Why would anyone want to be a camillian?"

He cracks me up!

Gosh how time flies!!! This summer is running faster than me! I feel like Nothing is getting done, yet every day is filled to the brim! The children have been enjoying the great out doors, and my house shows nothing of the sort. Funny how that works. They have been playing well together though so there aren't any complaints from my position.

We did lanterns for the first time the other night, and the kids loved them. Who would have thought that a lantern could be so much fun! I think it would be fun to talk the whole neighborhood into doing it next year and see if we could light up the sky like in "Tangled" It would be absolutely amazing!

I have avoided writing as of late because I have been feeling a bit pessimistic. I am trying to deal with my feelings an emotions at this time. Eeyore and I could be BFF's these days. I guess this is part of life's great adventure. I am working on coming out on top though, so you might be hearing more of me later.
