Lets get Healthy

I am feeling stoked right now.  My husband and I are teaming up to eat better and live healthier lives! We are using the choosemyplate.gov website to track our eating and exercise! A good friend told me about it a while back, and it has taken me this long to look into it and  get serious. Right now I am just starting and failing a bit. However, I am already ahead of myself last week. I am doing something about it!

I want to actually stick to this this time, and make it a life changing event. I am going to make it a way of life. Not just till I meet my goal. I am going to live a healthier life and make this a family thing. In the past when I have though of doing this I though it wasn't fair for my children. However as I have been doing my study in this I am finding that you can have just as much fun eating healthy.

My plan is to have more fruits and vegetables around the house to snack on. I am not going to stock up on baking goods I don't need at the time. When I don't meet my goal for the day I am not going to kick myself and give up. I am going to take each day as a clean slate. I am not going to dread eating healthy food any longer, but enjoy it. I am going to make time for myself in the exercise department, because I feel better when I do.

Last week my little man told me: "Mom, you have a big butt, and I mean a really FAT butt."

This ladies and gentle men was my incentive. Here we go. So I hope in the next couple of months, and year or so you will be seeing a difference if we cross paths. Thank you for your time and support.

  1. I think you are amazing! I know my family can benefit from a similar new routine, I just haven't gotten there yet. For me, exercise is my main struggle. Good luck!!!
